WELCOME TO LAGO LINDO COMMUNITY LEAGUE
Lago Lindo is a community league located in north Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The name Lago Lindo is Spanish for “pretty lake”, and the community contains two lakes named after communities in Spain. The community league was founded in 1984 and has grown over the years to include the residential communities of Lago Lindo, Klarvatten, Schonsee, and Crystallina Nera.
The boundaries span from 66th St. to 97th St. and North of 167 Ave to 195 Ave within Edmonton. Lago Lindo amended the boundaries at the Semi-Annual General meeting of Nov. 8, 2005 to include the surrounding communities till such time as they form or incorporate their own Community Leagues should they wish to do so.
Lago Lindo has a strong mix of both new and older families, and because it’s still a growing community, it has a very strong volunteer base. Lago Lindo is best known for its amazing soccer program, but it has also had a strong history of producing amazing athletes across all of its sports programs, like Olympic Gold Medal Winner Shannon Szabados, who played goalie for Team Canada in both the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics.
