Fun Fact
Did you know that the Lago Lindo Ice Rink is also known as the Shannon Szabados Rink, named after two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Shannon Szabados. Shannon played for Team Canada’s Woman’s Hockey Team in both the 2010 and 2014 Olympics, but before becoming a big-league hockey player, she grew up right here in Lago Lindo. Next time you’re at the rink, have a look at the Olympic plaque hanging on the rink.
