Ice Rink

It is with heavy hearts that we regret to announce that after much discussion, thought and review we are not able to offer a skating rink for our community members this year.

COVID-19 has had a profound effect on all of our lives, and our community members’ safety must always be first in our minds.

We hope that you use this time as an opportunity to connect with your immediate cohort and enjoy the upcoming holiday season.

We look forward to providing our community members with regular services once it is safe to do so.

Weather Warning

Please note that both the rink and concession will be closed if the temperature outside is below -23°C OR 0

Thank you to our community members for continuing to take pride in their skating rink. There is never a better sound than that of kids laughing and having fun. (and let us not forget the sound of a good shot on net)

The ice rink is CLOSED for the season.

THANK YOU to Wendal, our new  rink attendant, for all of his time and dedication to ensure that our members have ice and plenty of opportunity to enjoy the rink!

Please note that we will be checking for proof of Community Membership. Kindly ensure that skate tags are visible or that you carry your membership with you when you come to skate. Should NOT have a community membership or skate tag there WILL BE a $2 charge to skate. Note that memberships are at the rink concession.

Fun Fact

Did you know that the Lago Lindo Ice Rink is also known as the Shannon Szabados Rink, named after two time Olympic Gold Medalist Shannon Szabados.  Shannon played for Team Canada's Woman's Hockey Team in both the 2010 and 2014 Olympics, but before becoming a big league hockey player, she grew up right here in Lago Lindo.  Next time you're at the rink, have a look at the Olympic plaque hanging on the rink.
