When the warm weather thaws outdoor skating dreams ...

Yes, that time has come and the Lago Lindo rinks will CLOSE for the season. Thank you to our community members for taking pride in their skating rinks and using them all Winter long. There is never a better sound than that of kids laughing and having fun. (and let us not forget the sound of a good shot on net)

A special and huge THANK YOU to our Rink Manager, Rick, for keeping the ice in such great shape and braving the cold and snow to ensure that the ice was well taken care of for our community members. Thank you to our concession staff for providing a great service to our members as well.

See you next season!

The ice rink is now CLOSED for the season and new this year we're also running a concession inside where you can go warm up and purchase a hot chocolate or light snack.

Please note that we will be checking for proof of Community Membership. Kindly ensure that skate tags are visible or that you carry your membership with you when you come to skate. Should NOT have a community membership or skate tag there WILL BE a $2 charge to skate. Note that memberships are at the rink concession.

The main hockey rink is also available for Hockey Teams to rent. Please contact our Rink Manager, Rick, at rickbolster@hotmail.com to book times.

Fun Fact

Did you know that the Lago Lindo Ice Rink is also known as the Shannon Szabados Rink, named after two time Olympic Gold Medalist Shannon Szabados.  Shannon played for Team Canada's Woman's Hockey Team in both the 2010 and 2014 Olympics, but before becoming a big league hockey player, she grew up right here in Lago Lindo.  Next time you're at the rink, have a look at the Olympic plaque hanging on the rink.
