As we all know, sports can be an exciting and emotional time for everyone. To ensure that our players, coaches and parents have a positive sporting experience, Lago Lindo and Klarvatten Community League will be requiring all players, parents and coaches to sign the Code of Conduct rules before they can play any community sport.
The aim of the community is to endorse fair play, professional conduct and to demonstrate to our players and to the opposing teams that sports are fun and should be made fun.
Code of Conduct Guidelines To encourage sportsmanship for everyone, ensure respect of all parties and property, increase the enjoyment for all players, coaches, officials and spectators and to ensure that the Lago Lindo and Klarvatten Community League and general membership are held in the highest esteem in the public, the following guidelines will be practiced.
For Players · I will play by the rules of the game and in the spirit of the game · I will respect my opponents · I will do my best to be a true team player · I will remember that winning isn’t everything – that having fun, learning and making friends is more important · I will acknowledge all good plays and performances – from my team and my opponents · I will respect all my team, my coaches and the officials.
For Parents · I will remember my child plays for their enjoyment, not mine · I will acknowledge all good plays and performances – from our team and our opponents · I will not ridicule or yell at my child’s play, that of the other teams players, any coaches or any officials · I will support all efforts to remove verbal or physical abuse of any player, coach or any officials and I will not subject anyone else to verbal abuse · I will respect all private property and public property
For Coaches · I will teach my players to play fairly and respect the rules, the other teams, and the officials · I will ensure all players receive equal instruction, advise and playing time · I will not ridicule or yell at my players performance, that of the other teams players, other coaches or any officials · I will ensure the safety of my players at all times, including after games and ensure that all potential after games altercations are managed and the situation is diffused in a proper and safe manner · I will remember that players need a coach they can respect · I will support all efforts to remove verbal or physical abuse of any player, coach or any officials and I will not subject anyone else to verbal abuse · I will remember that any penalties or fines imposed on my team will be the financial responsibility of the team, not the community league and that upon any discipline action taken against our team I will meet with the Lago Lindo Community League Executive to discuss the issues and abide by their decisions.
As a member of the Lago Lindo and Klarvatten Community League sports team, I agree to these rules and have signed on page two of this document indicating that I have read this and fully agree to support these guidelines. Any failure to abide by these guidelines and principles could result in my suspension from participating in any sport with Lago Lindo.
NOTE : Accepted behaviour of team parents, fans and supporters is also the responsibility of the coach and team."
